A 10-year-old Mexican girl has given birth to a baby boy after a 31 week pregnancy, according to reports.

The premature infant, which weighed 3.3 pounds, was born by Caesarian section at the Women’s Hospital in the city of Puebla and is in the intensive care unit recovering from pneumonia.

The young mother, who is from the nearby San Francisco Totimehuacan community, has returned home after the procedure but visits the baby every day to breastfeed, officials said.

The Puebla state Attorney General’s Office is now investigating whether the girl could have been raped and who the father is, the hospital’s director Rogelio Gonzalez said, according to UpFrontNewswire.

Mexican state laws say young moms are unable to have abortions unless a girl can prove she was the victim of sexual assault.

The state’s minimum age of consent is 12 and women who undergo abortions in Puebla face a fine or prison sentence if they are unable to prove they were sexually abused.

The laws are currently under review.

The girl, who has not been named, arrived at the medical facility on Oct. 22, suffering from life-threatening complications, including seizures.

Hospital officials said the newborn is in a good condition considering his premature birth and the mother is

Motorola ET1

An Android tablet built for enterprises, the Motorola ET1 is a very different beast from the sort of tablet that you might use at home.

The ET1 is designed for retail and industrial environments. It's a chunky looking thing, certified to IP54 environmental standards (protected against dust and splashing water) and MIL STD 810G drop standards (multiple drops of 1.2m). The display is coated with a Gorilla Glass coating that is 30% thicker than consumer products, and the large surround is designed to make the ET1 easier to hold without accidentally pressing elements on the screen.

It looks a little old-fashioned on the surface, but underneath is a powerful device with a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal flash memory plus a microSD slot that will take up to 32GB.

One the front is a 7" 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive touchscreen plus a set of physical buttons. On the back is an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash plus 720p HD video recording. There is an additional

Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P

Posted by ADMIN On 8:01 AM 0 comments
We first saw the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P back in April under slightly different names. After quite a wait, Sony have now confirmed that these tablets are real and will start shipping this month.

The Sony Tablet S is a somewhat conventional looking Android tablet, but it is perhaps the Sony Tablet P that will steal the show. The Tablet P comes with two displays with a hinge down the middle, so it folds up like a book, measuring 180 x 79 x 26mm when closed.

This design may seem completely mad when compared to conventional Android tablets, but this approach works well on a much smaller scale with the Nintendo DS. For example, you can use the bottom screen as a game controller while playing the game in the top screen, but obviously this will require a specially written

BlackBerry Curve 9380

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first smartphone in the Curve range to feature a touchscreen. But of course, that means that it isn't really a Curve at all.. so what is it?
In essence, this is a cut-down version of the BlackBerry Torch 9860, a handset that hasn't really made much of an impact in the market. Presumably, Research in Motion believe that coming up with a cheaper version will boost sales, but we suspect that this isn't the real problem here.

Before we go any deeper, perhaps a look at the technical specifications are in order. The BlackBerry Curve 9380 has a 3.2" 360 x 480 pixel touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera on the back, WiFi and 3.5G support and GPS, plus the latest (and last) edition of the BlackBerry OS, version 7. NFC support is included, but there really isn't a lot of consumer demand for that yet.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 The problem is that specifications of this sort might have been vaguely impressive in mid-2009, but as we are now coming up to the end of 2011 it is looking like a pretty low-end device with similar specifications to the €190 HTC Gratia. We suspect though that BlackBerry will be charging rather
